“ Secret Himalayas “ With Wild Guanabana: The Life Healing Experience …

“ Secret Himalayas “ with Wild Guanabana: The Life Healing Experience …

Things happen for a reason, and they really do.

Omar’s message about the trip couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.. I replied “ Am in” without thinking..

The message popped up the next morning of a disappointingly heartbreaking event in my personal life. Looking for a getaway trip where I can pull myself up and move forward.. WG trip to Nepal with Omar couldn’t have come at a better time..

I knew Omar Samra..

I knew he is a beautiful soul, a professional, cool, down to earth person, who has been an inspiration and motivation to me since I met him a few years ago…

I knew Wild Guanabana are true to their Motto “ Life Changing Experience “..

I knew being in the mountains, feeling the serenity of nature, living it as open and raw as it can be will be good for me…

I knew we are going for the adventure as it was an exploratory trip where we will be trekking up a new route…

I knew I will take awesome photos.

I knew I will eat Dal Bat for two weeks.

I knew I will be challenged, on many levels, way beyond myself…

What I didn’t know is that I had just made the best decision for myself..

What i didn’t know is that Bhuwan will again be our awesome guide.

What I didn’t know is that I was going to be spending about two weeks with awesome beautiful people.

What I didn’t know is that the trip will be filled with tears, smiles, hugs, love, vulnerability, truth, dare, kisses, dancing, friendship, total calmness and serenity and above all “Mafia”.

What I didn’t know is that the trip will turn out to be a healing trip for me.

What I didn’t know is that I will freeze my butt out almost every day and night and love it..

What i didn’t know is that the “Secret Himalayas” trip will send me back to my life with inner peace and total serenity…

What I didn’t know is that during a visit to Camp Hope – a camp for the people of the villages destroyed by the Nepal Earthquake – a 10-11 year old boy Bimal will steal my heart and touch me deeply.. Smart, bright, witty, funny, radiant face, dancing eyes and a beautiful smile.. He locked my arm the second we arrived on site… “ come, come” he kept saying, while pulling me towards him not letting go of my arm, giving me a tour of the camp, introducing me to his life. He walked me from one tent to another, stopping at each one to share with me that part of his life. From his school tent, to his praying tent, computer tent, TV tent, food tent, sleeping tent, his home and family tent… All these tents were stages of his daily life and he was so proud of each and every one. After the tents I had the pleasure of being introduced to the people who shared IMG_6976
Bimal’s life in the camp. The twins, adorably cute, the girl he liked, she is gorgeous and just as smart as he is, her shining eyes strike thru yours. His TV buddies.. His playground friends.. His parents, I met the parents 🙂 a gorgeous young couple both smiling and calm.. I couldn’t help but congratulate them on their son.. They just smiled and bent their heads with respect…. How can I not be amazed by that gorgeous little man, who had lost his home in the earthquake yet keeping his head high up, proudly taking me around the camp, his new – temporary- home . Not one second you would want to feel sorry for him or any other person in that camp. Camp Hope is so wearing its name well. Each person in that camp is so full of hope… smiling, happy and proud to share with you their life. They are not looking for pity, they have more hope and strength then many of us. They are hungry for sharing love and smiles. By the time we finished the tour of the camp , the sun was setting and the full moon was out. As I am in love with the moon in any shape or face, I was stunned at how majestically gorgeous it was hanging there in the clear dark sky behind the buildings.. My turn to pull Bimal by the arm now and share with him one of my favorite beauties of nature. The moon. He didn’t know what it was. I explained to him how the full moon now will retract thru the month into a crescent and back into a full moon again, his eyes were wide open with amazement, he couldn’t believe it, he said he will be waiting each month for the full moon to see if it will come out. He had shared so much with me that little one, I was so happy I got the opportunity, before leaving him, to share with him one of the beauties of nature that amazes me always…

What my beautiful “ Secret Himalaya’s “ friends don’t know is that they have all contributed in my healing . Each one of them helped me one way or another.. whether a hug, a word, a smile, an advice, a question, a tissue, a bandaid, a bag of ice, a himalayan coffee, a ski pole stick, a ginger lemon tea, a selfie… or a Roomie / Rookie 🙂

You, beautiful souls of the “ Secret himalayas” with WG, have all been part of my healing journey from the second I got out of that bus, fell flat faced smashing face and knee and stood up to your faces stunned with your caring and friendship… For that I was blessed and I thank you all….

For not smashing my teeth I was also blessed 🙂

“ Wild Guanabana with Omar “ has done it again… Truly Life changing experience…. Truly Life healing experience… Thank you..
